Privacy Policy

Your voice stays yours.

VoiceDrop is designed to do one simple job without collecting more information than it needs. This policy explains what information is processed, why it is processed, and where it goes.

Last updated: 8 September 2026

The short version

Your voice recordings are created locally in your browser. VoiceDrop does not host your recordings on its own servers.
Your purchase email is used to activate VoiceDrop and verify that your subscription is currently entitled to use the extension.
VoiceDrop does not sell your personal information or use it for personalised advertising.
When you attach a recording to Skool, the file is then handled by Skool under Skool's own services and privacy practices.
1

About this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how VoiceDrop ("VoiceDrop", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the VoiceDrop website, Chrome extension, activation service, and related support services.

VoiceDrop is an independent browser extension designed to help users create voice recordings and attach them to Skool. VoiceDrop is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Skool.

2

Voice recordings and microphone access

VoiceDrop requires access to your microphone when you choose to record a voice message. Microphone access is used only to provide the recording feature you initiate.

The audio you record is processed locally in your browser and converted into an MP3 file on your device.

VoiceDrop does not upload or store your recorded audio on VoiceDrop servers. Your recording remains on your device until you choose what to do with it.

If you choose to attach a recording to a Skool post, comment, or private chat, that MP3 is passed into Skool's attachment process. Once it is provided to Skool, Skool's own terms and privacy practices apply to that file.

If you download a VoiceDrop recording, the downloaded file is stored on your device according to your browser and operating system settings.

3

Information used to activate VoiceDrop

VoiceDrop is a paid browser extension. To activate it, you are asked to enter the email address associated with your VoiceDrop purchase.

That email address may be used to:

  • confirm that you are entitled to use VoiceDrop;
  • check whether your subscription is active, cancelled, or expired;
  • periodically re-verify your entitlement;
  • help resolve activation or subscription-related support issues; and
  • protect the service against obvious abuse.

VoiceDrop may store activation information locally within Chrome on your device, such as your activation status, subscription verification information, and the date of the most recent successful verification.

Your entitlement is not checked every time you use VoiceDrop. Verification may occur periodically so that the extension can continue to operate without unnecessary network requests.

4

Purchases and billing

VoiceDrop purchases and subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record for the transaction and handles payment processing, billing, applicable taxes, refunds, and related payment services.

VoiceDrop does not receive or store your complete payment card number.

We may receive information necessary to operate your subscription, such as:

  • your purchase email address;
  • the VoiceDrop product or subscription associated with your purchase;
  • subscription status;
  • renewal, cancellation, and expiry information; and
  • identifiers needed to match your purchase with your VoiceDrop access.

Payment and customer information processed directly by Lemon Squeezy is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy and terms.

5

Subscription verification

VoiceDrop uses Cloudflare infrastructure to securely process activation and subscription-verification requests between the extension and the subscription service.

These requests include the purchase email address you enter and subscription information needed to verify your access to VoiceDrop.

Cloudflare may process standard technical information as part of providing and securing its network services. VoiceDrop does not use this information to determine your physical location, track your browsing activity, or build a profile about you.

This information is used only as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and verify access to VoiceDrop.

6

Information from the VoiceDrop website

When you visit the VoiceDrop website, the services used to host and deliver the site may process ordinary technical information that websites typically need in order to function.

This may include:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • pages requested;
  • date and time of access;
  • referring pages; and
  • security and server logs.

VoiceDrop does not use extension user data to create advertising profiles or sell behavioural information to advertisers.

7

Support communications

If you contact VoiceDrop for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, including your email address, description of the problem, screenshots, technical details, and other information necessary to help you.

Please avoid sending passwords, payment card numbers, private Skool conversations, or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary to resolve the issue.

8

When information may be shared

VoiceDrop does not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed or shared with service providers only where reasonably necessary to provide or operate VoiceDrop. These services may include:

  • Lemon Squeezy for purchases, subscriptions, and billing;
  • Cloudflare for secure activation and subscription verification;
  • Systeme.io or other hosting services used to operate the VoiceDrop website; and
  • Skool when you intentionally attach or send a VoiceDrop recording through Skool.

We may also disclose information where required by law, where reasonably necessary to protect the security of VoiceDrop or its users, or as part of a lawful business transfer such as a sale or acquisition.

9

What VoiceDrop does not do with your data

VoiceDrop does not use personal or sensitive user information for:

  • personalised, interest-based, or retargeted advertising;
  • selling user information to data brokers;
  • determining creditworthiness or lending eligibility;
  • building advertising profiles from your Skool activity;
  • unrelated marketing purposes; or
  • allowing people to read your private communications as part of normal operation.
10

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

VoiceDrop uses information accessed through the Chrome extension only as necessary to provide or improve VoiceDrop's disclosed user-facing functionality and related operational purposes such as activation, security, reliability, and support.

VoiceDrop's use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

VoiceDrop requests only the browser permissions reasonably necessary to provide its current functionality.

11

Data security

VoiceDrop uses reasonable technical measures designed to protect information transmitted between the extension and online services.

Personal or sensitive information transmitted over the internet by VoiceDrop is intended to be sent using encrypted HTTPS connections.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but VoiceDrop is designed to minimise the amount of information that needs to leave your device in the first place.

12

Data retention

VoiceDrop aims to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Audio recordings are not retained on VoiceDrop servers because VoiceDrop does not host those recordings.

Subscription and transaction records may be retained by Lemon Squeezy according to its own legal, financial, and operational requirements.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet applicable legal obligations.

13

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact VoiceDrop to ask questions about personal information associated with your use of VoiceDrop or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Some information may be held independently by third-party providers such as Lemon Squeezy or Skool. Requests concerning information held directly by those providers may need to be made to the relevant provider.

Removing VoiceDrop from Chrome will remove the extension from your browser. Browser-stored VoiceDrop information may also be removed according to Chrome's extension-storage behaviour.

14

Changes to this policy

VoiceDrop may update this Privacy Policy as the extension, website, legal requirements, or service providers change.

When the policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

If a future version of VoiceDrop materially changes the way personal or sensitive user information is handled, appropriate notice or consent will be provided where required.
