I can't install VoiceDrop

Make sure you're installing VoiceDrop from the correct extension store for your browser.

1 Open the Chrome Web Store if you're using Chrome or another Chromium-based desktop browser such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, or Opera; or Firefox Add-ons if you're using Firefox.
2 Select the installation button shown by your browser.
3 Confirm the installation when your browser asks.

VoiceDrop won't activate

VoiceDrop uses your purchase email to verify your subscription. Make sure you enter the same email address used to purchase VoiceDrop.

1 Find your VoiceDrop purchase confirmation email and check which email address you used at checkout.
2 Enter that address on the activation screen.
3 If activation fails, check for typing errors, extra spaces, or whether you purchased using another email address.

My microphone isn't working

Your browser needs permission to access your microphone before VoiceDrop can record.

1 Check that your browser has microphone permission.
2 Open a Skool tab, then click the VoiceDrop icon in your browser's toolbar.
3 Expand Microphone settings, check that the correct microphone is selected, and use the 5-second microphone test to check that it's working.

VoiceDrop doesn't appear in Skool

VoiceDrop should appear when you click Skool's normal paperclip attachment icon.

1 Confirm VoiceDrop is installed, enabled and activated.
2 Refresh your Skool page, especially if it was already open when you installed or activated VoiceDrop.
3 Click the paperclip on a post, comment, or private chat.

VoiceDrop isn't working in private browsing

Browsers often restrict extensions in private or incognito windows by default.

1 Chrome and Chromium browsers: Open extension settings, find VoiceDrop, select Details and enable Allow in Incognito.
2 Firefox: Open Add-ons and Themes, select VoiceDrop and set Run in Private Windows to Allow.
3 Open a new private browsing window, visit Skool and check whether VoiceDrop appears in the attachment menu.

I want to use VoiceDrop in another browser

Your VoiceDrop subscription works across supported desktop browsers, so you don't need to purchase it again.

1 Install VoiceDrop from the appropriate extension store for your browser.
2 The activation page will open automatically after installation.
3 Activate it with the same email address used to purchase VoiceDrop.
Activation help

Your purchase email is the key.

After installing VoiceDrop, a separate activation page will open automatically. Enter the email address you used to purchase VoiceDrop.

Important: You’ll usually only need to activate VoiceDrop once for each browser installation. You may need to activate again if you install it in another browser, reinstall the extension or clear its browser data.

Using VoiceDrop

Three steps and you're done.

VoiceDrop works through Skool's normal attachment flow, so there is very little to learn.

1

Click the paperclip

Click Skool's normal attachment icon on a post, comment, or private Skool chat.

2

Record your message

Choose Record voice, talk for up to 10 minutes, then preview or re-record if needed.

3

Attach and send

Attach the MP3, then use Skool's normal Post, Reply, or Send button.

Common questions

More answers, just in case.

I installed VoiceDrop but the activation page disappeared. What do I do?
Open Skool and click a paperclip attachment icon. If VoiceDrop has not been activated yet, choose Record voice and VoiceDrop will ask you to activate.
Why can't VoiceDrop find my subscription?
Check the email address used during the VoiceDrop checkout. It may be different from your Skool email. If the address is correct and activation still fails, contact support with the email used for the purchase.
Why does VoiceDrop keep asking me to activate?
Activation is stored within each browser installation. You may be asked to activate again after reinstalling the extension, clearing its browser data, changing browser profiles or installing VoiceDrop in another browser. Use the same email address used to purchase VoiceDrop. If this keeps happening, contact support.
VoiceDrop was working before, but now it isn't. What should I try?
Refresh the Skool page, confirm that the VoiceDrop extension is still enabled and restart your browser. If it still does not appear, turn the extension off and back on, return to Skool and refresh the page again. Activate VoiceDrop again if prompted.
Why can't I hear my recording during playback?
Check your device volume, make sure the browser tab is not muted and confirm that the correct speaker or audio-output device is selected. Try recording a short test message. If other audio works but the VoiceDrop preview still does not play, restart your browser and contact support if the problem continues.
Can I use VoiceDrop in another browser?
Yes. VoiceDrop works on desktop with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and other Chromium-based browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Brave and Opera. You can install it in another supported browser and activate it using the same email address you used to purchase VoiceDrop. Support for Safari and mobile devices is currently in development.
Does VoiceDrop store my recordings?
VoiceDrop does not host your recordings on its own servers. Recordings are created locally in your browser. If you attach one to Skool, the file is then handled through Skool's attachment system.
How do I cancel VoiceDrop?
Open the VoiceDrop billing portal at voicedrop.lemonsqueezy.com/billing, sign in with the email address used for your purchase, select your VoiceDrop subscription, and choose Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next annual renewal, but your VoiceDrop access continues until the end of your current subscription period.
